Empirical assessment of equity and justice in climate adaptation literature: a systematic map

Abstract The normative concepts of equity and justice are rising narratives within global climate change discourse. Despite growing considerations the adaptation literature, extent to which research has worked empirically assess operationalize in practice remains unclear. We employ a systematic mapping approach examine how defined understood empirical research, extensively they being assessed literature. Structuring our work using conceptual focusing on distributional, recognition, procedural, capability approaches justice, we document review articles that included assessments from searches performed Web Science™, Scopus®, Google Scholar™ databases. Our results highlight greater attention literature is given certain aspects (e.g. distributive procedural concerns) topics such as policy finance.
